German production masters Tiefschwarz have launched their own label: Souvenir Records and this is their first release from it: Ichundu – “Hey”
This Ichundu band is by all accounts Tiefschwarz’s darker crime fighting alter-ego.: Sounds like a new genre Jacobs Ladder Dance. Sinister bass heavy electro, the vocals sound like the ball of pure evil from the Fifth Element. Futuristic and almost gothic in it’s dark mood. Reminds me of the Cinema Record Music Library - (A fine record by anybodies standard).
It is very good although I am not sure where it could/would be played out. If walked into a club/tent/warehouse full of k-heads dancing to this I would surely run out very quickly and be very scared, peeing my pants at the intensity of it all.
The B-side the Tiefschwarz Retouch version is a minute longer at 9:24 and a more obvious four to the floor number. But doesn’t really stand up to the pure mood of the first mix.
