There are people in those self-consciously cool bars that are flapping their jaws yap-yap-yap about how they’ve been massive fans of !!! for years, and how they’re both pleased and annoyed that their “best kept secret” is now getting wider exposure. And in between the gaps of this vacuous verbal wall of sound these people make, you switch your brain off and swear “I never want to listen to anything that these gobshite cretins are willing to rattle on about for so long”.

But then a !!! promo arrives and gets put into the schedule.

Then later on I’m at my desk, doing boring admin tasks, and I’m humming 'Must Be The Moon'. Then later at the bus stop, people are looking at me funny, and I realise its because I’ve been singing along to it on my mp3 player, quietly oblivious to the wider world under my giant headphones.

As well as the Ebola-grade infectiousness of the lead track, there are a couple of notable remixes in there. The Emperor Machine remix is like Isaac Hayes and George Clinton licking mescaline off a mixing desk, but the Hot Chip remix falls short of expectations. A minimalistic re-working, it lacks the sheer parasitic grab that the original – a song that gets inside your brain, and bashes its rhythm out through your mouth, your feet, or any other bodily action it can instigate.
