I have been sold on the arctic monkeys, Not a skeptic at all. I love the tracks, the lyrics… Lots of fun, with some dark corners, and some stories and some rudimentary guitar playing that RULES way more then it should.
Ok enough of the general gushing. What about this single? Pretty trademark, distinctive simple guitars, Narrative song. There is no standout riff’s or arrangements that have marked their other releases. So what is he banging on about? I guess they are banging on about a 1 night stand, a beer goggled banging as the result of their shoot to fame. Who knows? This isn’t their style but I think this track is missing a good honest hell for leather guitar solo, it pretends to have one at the end, but it is just the vocal line on guitar. Anyway, I have just listened to it 8 times and can’t remember any of it. So class dismissed along with the forgettable 1 night stand
Love the Arctic Monkeys they won me a tenner not to long ago… But this song is a little weak, to download or not to download? Out of two?
