‘Passion’ is the new single from the Nightmares on Wax’s forthcoming fifth album ‘In a Space Outta Sound’. It takes me back to some good days five years back when people were funding dumb internet projects, I wasn’t worrying that my tax was getting messed up, Nightmares on Wax & Kruder & Dorfmeister were the sound to get as relaxed as weed laws were, and Audiogalaxy was the best download service around. Old street and the Hoxton bars seemed new rather then neuvo chav. Life was good and the track sounds like the lazy heat of nostalgia, it's the blissed out trip hop of frizbee in the grove and it sounds great (especially through the Tanoys). Shame it is raining outside. To ‘Passions’ detriment it feels like it has been around the best part of Ten Years. It doesn’t sound new, I swear I have already watched some french chick gurn around the big chill to it and it is only out today, I swore blind I have already bought a Peugeot because of it. So the question is: Has it already been bought, played, made love to hundred times over already? If so, then maybe it is time to do it all once more time...
