Signalling the return of DJ Mehdi via the Ed Banger imprint, 'I Am Somebody' in its original version is a fat slab of hip hop. Great as it is, it's the Kenny Dope mixes that grabs here.
The first Dope version is a funked-up broken beat hip hop meets house affair, while the second just goes for old school hip house. Both are nicely on target for the hip house re-emeregence.
