Swifts latest effort demonstrates a rapid maturity to deliver songs that have great warmth and harmony from the first to last track. There are touches of great artists’ influences here such as Bacharach, Carpenters, Rufus Wainwright, but rest assured Swift sounds like only he could, and some of these tracks are absolute class.
I cannot help but feel like he creates a world of sound that everyone would want to live in, just walk around your local park with this in your headphones and the world will just seem a better place. Isn’t that what music like this was meant to do?
This guy leads where others merely follow. Deserves true greatness!
