yourcodenameis:milo on "indefinite hiatus"
Wednesday, August 22, 2007
Ever-so-slightly-average rock types, yourcodenameis:milo, have announced via their MySpace page that they are going into "indefinite hiatus". The band had previosuly announced at the weekend that they would not be playing their scheduled show as part of the Kerrang! Awards series of gigs, which prompted rumours of a split.
This all comes in the wake of yourcodenameis:milo's label, V2, being bought up by Universal....who co-incidentally own Fiction, the Polydor-imprint that yourcodenameis:milo were originally signed to. So far, several other journalists on several other websites have already drawn people's attention to this, before pointing out that any connection between the purchase and the band splitting is entirely in of our own, conspiracy theory-loving, creation.
Music Towers was distinctly unimpressed last time we saw them play live, so forgive us if we don't mourn too heavily.
