Well, it’s official: Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis have the biggest sellers of the year for albums and singles respectively. ‘Back To Black’ by Winehouse clocked up 1.85 million sales, while Lewis’ ‘Bleeding Love’ cruised to the top selling single spot with 788,000, in figures confirmed today by The Official UK Charts Company.

 

Both Winehouse and Lewis made appearances in the top 10 sellers lists for album and single, with Lewis’ ‘Spirit’ being the second best selling album, and Amy Winehouse’s guest vocal on Mark Ronson’s cover of The Zutons’ ‘Valerie’ taking it to the ninth spot on the singles rankings.
