We all love a bit of a buzz-band now and again, don't we? That heady rush of spying a band ear-marked for big things. You go see them live and the venue seems thick with a kind of ozone of anticipation. Whenever you hear them on the radio, you feel the urge to turn it up till the windows shake. And if you're of idiot stock, you can tell everyone in twelve months time, when they're gracing the cover of the NME, that you I liked them better "before they sold out", and other such thunder-dumb platitudes.

White Lies are the latest in the great tradition of buzz-bands. The West London upstarts were one of the talking points at SxSW earlier in the year, and now they're coming to bring that buzz straight down into your ears, with forcoming single, 'Unfinished Business'.

Funny we should've mentioned the NME earlier, as White Lies are booked as one of the bands on their New Noize tour this year, which is set to be headliend by the Music Towers-recommended Crystal Castles. Also appearing on the bill are the curiously also-recommended by Music Towers-types, Friendly Fires, and Team Waterpolo. Normally I'd be inclined to put some snooty, indier-than-thou comment about a tour that something as crass as the NME booked, but I've got to admit, that's one tasty looking line-up.

'Unfinished Business' by White Lies is out on Chess Club Recordings on April 21. The band are touring thr UK in may - check their MySpace for more details.
