We love a limited edition
Friday, October 17, 2008

If there’s one thing guaranteed to get Music Towers’ juices flowing (other than signs that say “Free Bacon Rolls”), it’s special limited edition things. We hoard all sorts of music-related gimmickry – KoRn dolls, Oystercards from The Darkness, giant foam-hand Devil horns from Kerrang!, Woolworth receipts signed by Mike Patton, an t-shirts hand-made by The Cooper Temple Clause. We love all that shit.
We love special vinyl even more. We love picture discs, and vinyl in silly shapes and colours. Which is why we’re all rather excited by Textures, the rather good Dutch metal outfit, announcing some special limited editions of their Silhouettes album on coloured vinyl. GOLD VINYL.
There are only going to be 75 Gold editions pressed, with a further 175 Black/Gold combos, and 250 miserable all-Black copies. We’ve already got ourselves in gear and pre-ordered a Gold copy, and you better to if you want one.
The band are set to make a rare UK appearance at this year’s Hard Rock Hell in Prestatyn in December, alongside Black Label Society, Orange Goblin, Ghost Of A Thosand, This Is Menace, Warrior Soul, Cancer Bats, Clutch, Viking Skull…hang on, why haven’t we bought tickets for this yet? It is AMAZING.
