According to insider reports, Warner Music are thinking of packing in this stock floatation business and going back to private ownership. Share prices have gone down about 50% in the last year. The shares jumped by 21.3% on Wednesday, when rumours of the company's move back to private ownership leaked out in the press.

This all comes in the wake of EMI, which Warner had been skittishly attempting to buy, being taken private by new owners, Terra Firma.

It seems everyone is becoming increasingly fearful of the changing industry, and battening down any and all hatches, rather than look to new ways of making a buck out of the business.
