US didn't believe the hype

SXSW has prompted music critics in the US to deliver a unanimous shrug to the Arctic Monkeys. Not believing the hype that our frenzied dancefloor antics had created. A quick vox pop of the american music blogs tell Music Towers:
"if the Arctic Monkeys had only called themselves something more appealing to children like the Chocolate Monkeys, there would have been a veritable post-punk British Invasion."
"They're raw and immature, and while they could ripen into something big, to my ears, they're not all that and a bag of crisps."
"the Arctic Monkeys are so horribly horribly average it's not even funny. $20 says 1 outta 10 AM fans has never heard a single Clash album all the way"
This only goes to prove that America only likes UK bands that are from America like Jimmy Hendrix, The Scissor Sisters or The Strokes.
Unfortunately Chico & James Blunt prevent the UK from claiming any morale high ground.
