The Rolling Stones have been confirmed as the third headlining act for this year's Isle of Wight Festival, joining Muse and Snow Patrol at the top of the event.

This will be Jagger and co's first true UK festival appearance for over 30 years, the last having taken place at Knebworth Fair in 1976. I wasn't even born back then.

Also on the eclectic Isle of Wight bill are Amy Winehouse, Ash, James Morrison, The Fratellis, Paulo Nutini, Keane, Kasabian and The Feeling.
