Two more festivals officiall cancelled today: Tapestry and Wild In The Country.

Tapestry, which was set for the weekend of August 8-9 in south Wales, admitted it was due to a lack of ticket sales: "This decision was made when it became obvious that ticket sales would not reach the figure needed to stage the event". The UK festival market has become overcrowded these last few years - Music Towers respects their honestry.

Wild In The Country though....that's a different story. According to their official website: "Unfortunately, Wild in the Country has become the latest in a series of festivals that have suffered from a unique and well-documented set of market forces this summer." Which side-steps the fact that the announced headliner, Bjork, had pulled out of the festival several days ago over financial concerns, and Battles, another high profile act on the bill, had seemingly followed suit.

Wild In The Country are currently seeming very reluctant to offer full refunds as well, printing all sorts of nonsense on their websites about submitting requests for refunds in the next two days. If that's true, then they're not just a bunch of flakes, but a bunch of flaky bastards to boot.
