It is angry week here at Music Towers and the latest thing that has got me thinking. "WTF is that about ?" is a T4 press release.
So, a nice man sends me an email about T4 On The Beach, and a reminder that the announcement he's sent is press-embargoed until today. Cool by me… Music Towers wants nothing more then a festival on a beach on a Sunday day in the middle of July. It's all good to me.
This morning I open up the email to write a nice puff piece for the festival in a vague attempt to befriend some Channel 4 attention. I look over the email...and there is no announcement? They are announcing that.... rm…they are going to announce the line-up on the 23rd. This is of course embargoed, as they couldn't possibly want anyone knowing (what exactly?) before today. I suppose they were just saying you should register if you want tickets at some point.
Anyway T4 On The Beach is happening, and you have to register, and last year had the Kaiser Chiefs / Mika / Girls Aloud. So expect it to be a happy sunny poppy affair. Unlike my mood or this weather in London - hot hail. It's like Ming The Merciless is back with that bloody weather machine of his.
Anyone going to see Witchcraft tonight?
