Streets album pops straight in at the top spot
Monday, April 17, 2006
It was a good day for UK hip hop yesterday as Mike Skinner and his band of merry but slightly wayward men went straight in at Number 1 with The Streets third album 'Hardest way to make a easy living'. The album has been subject to a great deal of press speculation as Skinner seems to be airing his dirty laundry in public. For his record sales it seems to have worked at least.
Mean while the adopted New Yorker Brian Burton aka Dangermouse' outfit Gnarls Barcley held on to the number 1 single for the third week running.
