Please, please, please would bands stop reforming? It seems that every other newsfeed I right these days is about so-and-so and such-and-such getting back together. Take That have a lot to answer for.

Following the weekend's announcement that Boyzone, the band who stepped into the post-Take That vaccuum back in the 90s, are all set to get back together, two more groups of yesteryear are gettint in on the act.

The Spice Girls look set to reform in the name of charity, the good cause in question strongly rumoured to be Red. However, Emma Bunton and Mel B's pregnancies mean it will be around Autumn that you can expect to see them strapping on those ridiculous platform trainers again.

And finally, The Jam are reforming....but without Paul Weller. Some, including me, would argue this makes the whole affair a bit pointless. I'm not saying that Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler weren't integral to the Woking Mod's success, but you'd be a mug to claim it'll be complete without the grumpy old rock hero.

And finally, there's yet another rumour of a full Guns'n'Roses re-union. We all know that this is almost certainly a lock of balls, but this time it came from the mouth of Steven Addler, who as any rock aficionado will tell you was the original drummer for the rock titans. But with Velvet Revolver's second album due for release soon, this looks even less likely than all the other Guns' rumours there's been over the years.
