Phil Spector trial developments

Jury selection for, in his own words, “relatively insane” Phil Spector's murder trial is to begin on 19 March in Los Angeles.
The veteran producer was arrested for the suspected murder of actress Lana Clarkson on 3 February 2003. The judge in charge has said that he plans to call as many as 300 prospective jurors into court in order to identifying those who could serve fairly on the trial, which is expected to last several months.
Spector did not attend the hearing, but will be in court for jury selection. The producer, who has worked with bands such as The Ramones, The Beatles, and….Starsailor, has pleaded innocent to the charge and is currently out on $1 million bail. If found guilty, Spector could face life imprisonment.
