What is it about musicians and breaking the law? Is it because once they become successful they end up living in a relative consequence-free environment where tehir every whim and desire is catered for? Or is it because they get drunk and lairy? This week's pop criminals' antics seem to support both.

It seems DMX is currently wanted by police in New York for a series of...traffic offences. The charges of speeding, driving dangerously, not wearing a seatbelt and driving with a suspended license could result in the New York-based hip hop star, real name Earl Simmons, doing jail time as he's already missed two court appearances. His lawyers are claiming they haven't a clue where he's holed up.

In other news, visa-disaster Snoop Dogg escaped prison after pleading Guilty on charges of drugs and firearms possession. Instead he has to do 800 hours of community service and five years probation. One of the stipulations of the deal is that none of Snoop's entourage can be gang members, otehrwise he's going down for 3 years.

But just to prove that it's not just hip hop that suffers from legal troubles, youthful British metalcore-types Bring Me The Horizon got into some trouble after their weekend show at Nottingham Rock City. Reports are muddled, but the band's label Visible Noise have released the following statement:

"As many of you will already have heard there was an incident concerning the band on and around their tour bus in Nottingham in the early hours of Sunday Morning (8th April).

"As to be expected, in the age of the internet and web boards, numerous versions of the alleged incident have been posted online - Bring me the Horizon and Visible Noise would like to clarify the situation.

"Oli Sykes was arrested and will appear in court on Friday charged with allegedly urinating on a female fan inside the tour bus, which he strongly denies. Oli has not been charged, nor has ever been questioned or been under any suspicion of attacking the aforementioned female fan.

"The alleged incident is being dealt with by the relevant authorities currently and a formal statement will be issued once Oli has attended his court appearance on Friday."
