The Lost Vagueness festival the Lost Weekend has put tickets on sale and started to announce some acts. The decadent Glastonbury Festival field is stepping up to the tradditional Glasto weekend slot from Friday 23rd untill Sunday 25th June.
The 10k capacity festival has confirmed the headline acts the Zutons, Julian Cope and the New York Dolls, plus all the usual contingent of Lost Vagueness firebreathers drunken dwarves, lovely ladies and lovely ladyboys.
If you have ever been to the field at Glastonbury then you will know what to expect. Except imagine a bit of funding and some half decent bands (erm But, where is Gogol Bordello on that line up, Taraf De Haidouks, I don't see any real alternative acts yet ed)
The event will also feature market stalls, green crafts, English teas, an open air theatre stage, fun fair and the famous Lost Vagueness Carnival Midway. Guests can expect the unexpected round every other corner, making Lost Vagueness the eccentric experience festival-goers know and love.
The site will be child-friendly with a full kids’ area, kids’ activities and kids’ entertainment. And, in a complete break with the usual festival experience, there will even be flushing toilets!
Tickets went on sale this morning online http://www.lostweekend.org.
The cost is £90 for weekend passes and £45 for day tickets.
