The rumour mill has finally confirmed fan suspicions – New York-based electro-art feminists Le Tigre have split up.

In a message posted on the All Tomorrow’s Parties' website, festival organisers confirmed the reasons why some bands had not been booked following the ticket holders’ vote to choose who to book for the festival.

The letter says: "There are a lot of bands in there that just won’t play, i.e Le Tigre who broke up last year." Although officially the band are on hiatus, this confirms rumours that have been brewing for a while, with all three members of the post-riot grrrl electro threesome working on other projects since 2004’s “This Island”.
