Only a few days ago we were talking about the new non-musical acts that have been added to this year’s Latitude Festival, and today they’ve gone and announced a clutch of top-notch musical bands that have been added to the bill.
British Sea Power and Foals have both been added to the Obelisk Arena. The former have recently released their third album ‘Do You Like Rock Music?’ to great success, and the latter have quickly become one of the most talked about bands of 2008. So I guess it’ll be pretty sweet to see them both in the same place, now won’t it?
Heavily-tipped (by Music Towers as much as everyone else) electronic upstarts, Crystal Castles have been added to the Sunrise Arena, the first band to be announced for it in fact. It’s the smallest and most intimate of all the music stages at the festival, which is a double-plus because anyone who has seen Crystal Castles live will know what I mean when I say they are best seen as up-and-close as possible
Oh, and apparently some mob called Blondie are playing on Sunday night in the Uncut Arena. They’ve sold a few records or something. So I’m told. Ahem.
