Everyone’s got guilty musical pleasures – our Rock Editor’s is Kid Rock. The fact that he’s just been added to the line-up of Download has gotten him far too excited for he rest of Music Towers’ liking. Bom-da-da-bom-da-bang-d-bang-diggy-diggy….(ahem)
He’s not the only other act announced today though: Bleeding Through are returning to the festival, where previousl they turned the second stage into a heaving metalcore warzone. Throwdown are set to provide some ever-so-slightly-uninpiring thrash-metalcore, and Black Dahlia Murder are there to up the festival’s death metal credentials. Oh, and The Subways are playing too. It doesn’t matter that their new release is as heavy as fuck, the metaller-than-thou aesthetics of the Download attendees will mean that they’ll be neglected.
Download Festival takes place at Donnington Park near Derby, from Friday 13 June 2008 to Sunday 15 June 2008. Click here for more details.
