Well, the weathermen are telling us that this weekend the weather is set to be as awful as ever...which is bad enough for most of us, and even worse if you happen to be a festival promotor - just ask the fellows over at Truck, who've had to reschedule for September.

But not all the festivals are collapsing under torrential rain and burst brooks - Global Gathering, the long-running dance festival taking place at Long Marston Airfield in Stratford-Upon-Avon, has put out a statement saying they're going ahead no matter what the weather.

Okay, they've got the advantage of being on a site that isn't some field that gets covered in tents and drunks once a year, but an airfield, and as such, is nice and flat with proper drainage.

Faithless and Basement Jaxx will be among the acts not getting washed away in any storms as the festival goes ahead on July 27 - 28.
