Look! More acts have been announced for this year’s Download Festival. First among hem is ex-Audioslave and Soundgarden frontman, Chris Cornell, who no doubt will be playing ome songs off his long-forgotten solo record. He might even play that James Bond song he did. Speaking of solo acts with frontman day-jobs, Jonathan Davis will be playing the festival without his usual crew, ie KoRn. Famously, KoRn played at Download two years ago without Davis, using anyone they could find to fill in when their singer fell ill. Perhaps Davis is just resetting festival karma?

Ever-so-slightly-dull Jimmy Eat World, growling metalcore-types 36 Crazyfists, and the always-excellent noise attack that is Job For A Cowboy make up the rest of the new additions. This festival’s starting to shape up nicely.

Download Festival takes place at Donnington Park near Derby, from Friday 13 June 2008 to Sunday 15 June 2008. Click here for more details.
