I hate that phrase, "intimate shows". Why did I use it? In fact, we usually wouldn't plug a big bands bunch of random shows. But we saw these and thought "wouldn't Franz Ferdinand be great in Yorks Fibbers!" Tickets will sell out by the time I publish this, so get going.

The band will play a number of new songs alongside old favourites. The band are now in the last couple of weeks of recording their third album in their Govan hideaway with Dan Carey.

The band are also playing a 'secret' show at The Macbeth in Hoxton on June 9, but tickets have apparently already all been snapped up from Rough Trade East. Oh well.

Franz Ferdinand are also set to headline one of the days at this year's Latitude Festival, which this week sold out. So...ummm....I guess that news isn't much help if you want to see them either, is it?
