Victoria Park in East London – it’s the de rigueur spot for London-based indie festival activities these days. Radiohead are doing their big summer gigs there, Love Music Hate Racism are having a big ‘carnival’ there next month, and this summer it will see both the Underage Festival and Field Day return for a second year.

We didn’t get a proper review of Field Day last year, as our reviewer spent most of the day queuing for the toilet after queuing for drinks. And she said she couldn’t really hear Justice play either as the sound was too quiet. Still, the promoters have claimed to have ironed out all the problems that happened at last year’s event, and have announced part of the line-up:

We did have a reviewer at the Underage Festival though – and she described said it “hummed with an energy you just don’t get amongst more mature crowds”. They’ve also gone and announced some of its line-up for this year. Which you will only get to see if you are 18 or younger. Which rules us out. And is very annoying, as it actually looks really good.
