Download Festival! Even typing it I get a warm glow. This is in part because I am imagining a feast of upcoming metal, but also because of Download 2005 where I passed out in the heat and my face got so burnt that I could turn up to fancy dress parties for a month afterwards as Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre without a mask and everyone would line up to compliment me on my attention to detail.

In addition to the…interesting choice of headliners (that’s a diplomatic description, don’t you think?) of KISS, LostProphets and Offspring, and the handful of acts that were also previously announced (HIM, Motorhead, Judas Priest, and Rise Against), some more additions to the festival have come to light.

Disturbed, Alter Bridge, Coheed & Cambria, In Flames, Incubus, Children of Bodom are the acts in question. Call us midweek misery-guts, but the warm glow we usually get from thinking about Download has cooled a little bit.
