Coca Cola have reached an agreement with 7 Seconds Of Love, the band headed by rathergood.com main-man Joel Veitch. As reported by Music Towers last month, it had been alleged that the soft-drinks giant had stolen ideas from an online video of 7 Seconds for a television commercial in South America

 

Rather than face a courtroom legal battle, Coke have chosen to limit their PR damage and admitted similarities between an advert screened in Argentina, and the video for 7 Seconds' song “Ninja”, and will pay an undisclosed figure to the London-based ska band. The band has stated that the out of court settlement paid by Coke will be partly channelled to two children’s charities, Tommy’s, and the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society.
