Well, the announcement has been made, and unsurprisingly, many of the rumours were right.

Headlining the main stage at The Carling Weekend are Razorlight (Reading Friday/Leeds Saturday), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Reading Saturday/Leeds Sunday) and The Smashing Punpkins (Reading Sunday/Leeds Friday). Also gracing the main stage over the three days are Kings of Leon, Interpol, Maximo Park, Gossip, Gogol Bordello (all Reading Friday/Leeds Saturday), Arcade Frie, Bloc Party, Panic! At The Disco, Angles and Airwaves (Reading Saturday/Leeds Sunday), Nine Inch Nails (hell yeah!), Lostprophets, Fall Out Boy, Funeral For A Friend and +44 (Reading Sunday/Leeds Friday).

Topping the NME/Radio 1 Stage are Ash (Reading Friday/Leeds Saturday), The View (Reading Saturday/Leeds Sunday) and Klaxons (Reading Sunday/Leeds Friday). Complimenting the headliners will be Brand New, The Subways, Enter Shikari (all Reading Friday/Leeds Saturday), We Are Scientists, Biffy Clyro, The Twang (Reading Saturday/Leeds Sunday), LCD Soundsystem and CSS (Reading Sunday/Leeds Friday).

Tickets went on sale at 7pm over on http://www.seetickets.com. But at the time of writing, the site was down due to heavy demand. Who'd have thunk it?
