Carling Weekend: Are Your Tickets Safe?
Wednesday, March 21, 2007
In what can only be described as a cock-up of almighty proportions, Mean Fiddler has announced that 3000 ticket sales have been cancelled. Over 1000 ticket buyers for Leeds and around 2000 for Reading received emails incorrectly confirming their booking. As far as f*ck-ups go, it's hard to imagine a worse one - less than 48 hours after tickets went on sale.
Melvyn Benn, MD for Mean Fiddler, had this to say: "Cards were rejected either because their numbers were inputted incorrectly or they did not have sufficient funds.
"The sad thing it they got a confirmation and then relaxed and it wasn't until the next morning they were told there was a problem, by which time the weekend tickets were gone."
Benn has said that coach package tickets will be held back for those affected until 7:30pm tonight. So go double-check now!
