theft had probably been an alcohol-fuelled spur-of-the-moment thing

AC/DC frontman Bon Scott's heritage-listed gravesite has had a plaque stolen on what would of been his 60th Birthday.

The brass plaque, to have been stolen from the gravesite at Fremantle Cemetery sometime between Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Doug Thorncroft, of the Bon Scott Fan Club, said Thorncroft said he thought the theft had probably been an alcohol-fuelled spur-of-the-moment thing.

"They're possibly sitting at home now feeling terrible, which I hope they are," he said possibly refering to the Jim Beam hangover of the culprit.

Scott died in a friend's car in the early hours of February 19, 1980, after a night of heavy drinking in London.
