BB King and George Melly: Still Alive
Monday, January 29, 2007
King of blues, BB King has been discharged from hospital after being admitted with a case flu on Friday. His manager has told journalists last night that the 81 year old singer was "back to his old self". King was forced to cancel two shows due to the illness, but he is expected to resume tour on Tuesday night. The cancelled shows are being rescheduled for June.
King isn’t the only one feeling the effects of old age - jazz star George Melly, has also left hospital following his collapse on stage last week. The singer’s wife confirmed that "[Melly is] out of hospital, he's home. He is tucking into some pheasant, spinach and pasta and a bottle of beer and a couple of whiskies and he is looking forward to being back on stage".
Nice to know that’s he’s eating well too.
