The Abba stage show Mamma Mia is set to become film by 2007. Mamma Mia the musical is based on the hits of Swedish group Abba and over the world and has grossed more than $1.6bn.

This storming success has got actor Tom Hanks on board as producer to put the musical to celliod by next year. Speculation has it the film could be released to coincide with the musical's 10 years on the London stage.

Also today the Abba estate has also announced a exclusive ringtone deal with Universal. The complete original Abba songs will be available as truetones on the back of a bus near you soon.
