Who said art flurries in hard times? Credit Crunch songs, the phrase has created a slurry of comedy songs. Some terrible some just plain awful, but all entertaining. I think there is almost enough for an album, if anyone did of course it would be a comedy pop travesty of a record (but still better then any UK Eurovision effort for the last ten years)

Bush and Brown in a take of 'Candle in the Wind':

Ok, I am impressed: Swamp blues and Fanny Mae:

This one could be a Conservative broadcast. Gorden Brown and a song to do with chips:

The prize for most effort (and hits) goes to this blonde kid in Kenwood park:

This one is a bit more professional - a rip-off from Weebl Credit Crunch Advert (although it is almost straight Ren and Stimpy):

Adam and Joe have done a very fancy effort - it really needs a video. Sounds like the terrific Sparks-pastiche to me:

700 Billion bailout, that is a big figure, what the hell else could you do with it?

A more rural feel:

Keeping it hip hop:

Some band called AlphaBeat over on Radio 1:

This guy couldn't record it any worse, orlook any more depressed. I fear for his family:

Rock n Roll says 'Can't afford it? Then don't spend it':

'Nobody Wants My Debt Anymore' - shame this recording is so sketchy, as its got some nice playing and a witty way with words:

Why oh why do I think this fella is serenading a hooker?
