I believe earlier this week we promised “Big F*ck-Off Guitars” would be present in one of our Camden Crawl recommendations? Well, Future Of The Left have got them by the truck-full.
Formed from the ashes of two didn’t-appreciate-them-till-they-were-gone bands (Mclusky and Jarcrew respectively), Welsh renegades Future Of The Left have been playing up and down the country for the last two years, and are, as we have previously described them, “ as compelling as Janet Kay's 'Silly Games' being played backwards at a Black Mass of Beekeepers with hypertension”. Yes, they’re that good.
We’ve continuously failed to get ourselves in a position to harp about their greatness in a review here on Music Towers (we always seem to be out of town when they play a headline gig, or turn up five minutes after they finish when they’re supporting someone else) but we saw them supporting Be Your Own Pet at the start of the month, and they were every bit as blinding as we had hoped. Don’t miss our chance to see them this weekend.
Check out the video for their last single, ‘Manchasm’:
Future Of The Left are playing both Friday and Saturday of this year’s Camden Crawl, in addition to a smattering of gigs and the Great Escape festival in May. For more information about the band, click here.
