The Camden Crawl is back this weekend, bringing even more debauchery than a usual Friday and Saturday night to the N1 postcode. If it’s anything like last year, you’ll miss half he acts you want to see, discover something you’d never heard before but is actually amazing, and waste half an hour listening to something as guff as I Am Kloot. Well, in order to help you side-step all that, Music Towers is going to recommend you some acts you really ought to make the effort to see over the two evenings. First up: Crystal Castles.
Oh Crystal Castles – part of us feels so shamefully scenester’ish in liking your bleeping bleating beeps. But the other part of us is happy to recognise the quality of their cult-slices of electro when we hear it. Music Towers plans on having a review of their long-player (out on April 28) sooner rather than later – keep ‘em peeled – until then, here’s the video for their forthcoming single, ‘Courtship Dating’, which is out on April 21:
It’s like that Timbaland/ 50 Cent / Justin Timberlake song, only with all the shit sucked out and replaced with something more alien.
Crystal Castles will be playing both days of this year’s Camden Crawl, which takes place on April 18 and 19 (that’s this Friday and Saturday), so there’s no excuse in missing them. They’ve also got a raft of their own live dates coming up – click here for details.
