Music Towers is decamping off to the Latitude festival, so there will be no updates for a few days. I suggest you come and Join us if possible. Should be fun, promising to be the best festival this year. Ok it is it’s first year, but looks like a festival that will attract the fun and nice people, and won’t end in a million 13 year old kids burning each other on the last night. Although I have been told to watch out for the Horse Flys (no not a band).

Looking past those big names on the bill and look around the bill and you will find the real Highlights.

1. Beef Warehouse: erm, this has nothing to do with some Music Towers writers DJing the Wood Stage on Thursday night. Expect the Wicker Man, Shellac, Bugsi Malone, Jethro Tull, and if I can sneak it in Dillenger Escape plan doing Aphex Twin.

2. Vox N Roll: Richard Thomas has a whole stage of writers talking, Not only that! Is that the currently defunct Who Shot Bambi? Best quiz in London is coming to Latitude… It has been sorely missed

3. Robin Inces Sex-Off: Robin Ince the man that seems to spearhead every radio 4 comedy show is doing a Celebrity Sex-Off. Expect literary Smut.

4. Peeping Tom: The album has grown on me, Mike Patton pop outfit, lets see what they sound like live. Guess it is kind of a Gnarls Barclay affair.

5. Air Traffic: Don’t know anything about them besides they got their publishing signed up for a million squid! That is a lot of money, expect advertising friendly MOR hits of next year.

7. Rob Newman: His history of Oil series was brilliant, now listen to his rants in person, comedy that isn’t funny. Well it will make you laugh and probably scare the crap out of how where our world is headed for. As Karl Pilkenton says… The world is old, and running out of hair.

8. Uffie: Pop the glock, pop the glock. French gun toting Minx!
