Berlin's mighty duo of Ellen Allien, head of Bpitch Control, and Apparat,
head of Shit Katapult, have joined forces to produce one of the album's of
the year, 'Orchestra of Bubbles'.

We asked the two person orchestra to give us a track by track run down of
their LP - including the brand new bonus tracks that Allien and Apparat have
added to the CD because some arsehole uploaded the promo LP onto an illegal
download site. Now there's two more reasons to buy the real version.

'Turbo Dreams'
One of our "more dancy" tracks. Our open-air summer rave anthem!

'Way Out'
A track showcasing both of our styles pretty well. It has Allien-style basslines and Apparat-ish guitars and song structures. One of our favourites.

'Retina'
During a string recording session we tried to do something non melancholic -we came up with short rhythmic patterns and used them for retina and metric. 'Retina' is a little bit based on some kind of "reichian" - a repetitive but still constantly changing pattern. Both of us love that song!

'Rotary'
First bonus track, yes, we have two of them! With 'Rotary' we did one of the few electro tracks for the album. Little bit of Detroit influence... was meant to be a dance track but I guess it will only be us being able to dance to it.

'Jet'
Some more summer-dance-music. We have two versions of that track. One is a little bit more static and rough. We will put this one on a single. It's Ellen's version on the record. It just fits better.

'Sleepless'
Second bonus track. The newest one. We were trying to make a dancetrack - after a while we came up with this little bit industrial short-story... I love the atmosphere of i. and the harp! Ellen was laughing at me but I was so exited about those harp sounds...

'Metric'
The most UK we will ever go. Also some real strings in there. The string players loved it!

'Floating Points'
A moody techno track. pretty deep and surprisingly "unmelodic". Usually tracks are getting very melodic if Ellen and I am working together. This one is a little exception.
